Notary Summoned to Testify in Illicit Enrichment Case Against Chief of Staff

Buenos Aires, April 5 (NA) – Notary Adriana Mónica Nechevenko de Schuster has been summoned to testify next Wednesday, April 8, before Gerardo Pollicita, head of the Federal Criminal and Correctional Prosecution Office No. 11, in the case pointing to the Chief of Staff, Manuel Adorni, for alleged illicit enrichment. It is expected that her testimony will focus on providing the necessary explanations regarding the certification of the deeds of two properties that belong to the libertarian official and are not included in his sworn statement: these are the apartment in the Caballito neighborhood and the house in the Indio Cuá country club in Exaltación de la Cruz. For the moment, the Justice system is investigating the reason why the Caballito property is listed with a deed value significantly lower than its current market value, while it has also begun to investigate the visits the notary made to the Casa Rosada, at least seven times, between July 2024 and January 2026. As publicly reported, Nechevenko was in charge of certifying the real estate operations of the official, which included the two undeclared properties and, therefore, should be aware of the real value of both the apartment and the house. The only judicial precedent involving the notary was identified 12 years ago, when she testified in a trial against a band dedicated to ephedrine trafficking, after having validated signatures for companies that served as a front for drug traffickers.
